Texting while driving in Bay City may have contributed to car crash
IOSCO COUNTY, MI – A vehicle-combine crash Wednesday night in Iosco County that left one woman dead may have been the result of distracted driving, ;police say.
Troopers with the Michigan State Police West Branch post responded shortly before 8 p.m. Oct. 17 to the area of M-55 near Lorenz Road in Tawas Township for a crash.
A preliminary investigation has determined the farm combine was heading west on M-55 when the operator spotted in his mirror a vehicle – later determined to be a Chrysler Pacifica — heading in the same direction and closing in fast behind he combine.
