Daimler AG Pleads Guilty to Bribery Charges, Honda Motors Accused of Fraud
While Toyota is the focus of public attention for being less than forthcoming about safety issues, this week Daimler AG pleaded guilty in federal court to bribery charges and was ordered to pay $185 million in fines. The company engaged in a long-standing practice of paying bribes to foreign government officials. (4/1) CNN
