Wrongful Death Suit Filed Vs. Michigan Grandmother
A wrongful death lawsuit seeking at least $1 million has been filed against a 75-year-old Detroit-area woman who was convicted of killing her 17-year-old grandson. Flint police looking for help in finding hit-and-run pickup
FLINT (AP) — Flint police are asking for help from the public and from auto damage shops in finding a pickup truck that may have been involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 34-year-old man. Police say Jeffrey C. Lee was leaving a wedding reception just before midnight Sept. 28 outside The Fraternal Order of the Eagles on N. Truck slams into Saginaw home
SAGINAW — A Saginaw family is forced out of their home after a truck smashes through their front door Saturday night. Saginaw Police and fire officials were on the scene of the accident that happened at 1762 Ring Street. Neighbors say a pickup truck traveling at a high rate of speed slammed into the home cutting a nearby gas line. A Michigan State Police trooper from the Tri-City Post who was hurt in a Nov. 1 incident in Saginaw County will be spending the next three to six weeks recovering before returning to work. The trooper was hurt when he and a suspect fell from the I-675 overpass on Kochville Road. The trooper had been running after the suspect, a 41-year-old Standish man, when the accident occurred about 11:30 p.m. The suspect was standing near a guardrail as the trooper grabbed for him, and fell 25 to 35 feet over the edge. http://www.ourmidland.com/police_and_courts/police-news/article_29a76325-37f1-5214-8bb9-0d7bee08545d.html
$63.7M project could add peak-demand lanes on US-23 near Ann Arbor
If your morning commute to Ann Arbor involves driving south on US-23, there’s a chance life could get easier in a few years. The same goes for anyone heading north during the afternoon rush hour, or anyone stuck in traffic when there’s an accident on US-23. Danger zones: Parking lots a prime location for majority of car crashes
Cutting across campus by car, Kristine Price is well aware of the danger she faces behind the wheel. Last month, she was in a traffic accident off campus while heading north at the intersection of Preston and Mission streets. Bobbling a cellphone, Price and her friend were quickly taken unaware by an oncoming vehicle. Pre-winter storm brings snow, crashes to much of Michigan
A rash of traffic crashes accompanied southeast Michigan’s first significant snowfall, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation. Metro Detroit saw about a half-inch of snow Monday night after arctic air turned rain into a light dusting, according to the National Weather Service in White Lake Township.

Fatal accidents on the increase in Macomb County
The number of people killed in traffic accidents on Macomb County roads and highways is on an alarming rise, according to figures provided by the Macomb County Traffic Safety Association.

Saginaw County teen critical after crash
KOCHVILLE TOWNSHIP — Police say a 16 year old boy is in critical condition after a 2 vehicle accident this morning in Kochville Township. The crash occured when his car hit an SUV. It happened on Mackinaw north of Kochville Road, in Saginaw County. Several firefighters worked to remove the roof of the teenagers Chevy Impala, to try to get him out of the vehicle.
