Michigan families deal with brain injuries
Traumatic Brain Injury known as TBI is in the spotlight, most recently, because of NFL players and concussions.
A group in Michigan, called the Brain Injury Association of Michigan or BIAMI, helps survivors and families affected by closed head injuries. BIAMI has been around for years. There are several local chapters here in West Michigan. On Tuesday night, members of the Muskegon Chapter held their regular meeting. WZZM 13’s Juliet Dragos joined the group as they talked about advocacy and how to make the community more aware of TBI. http://www.wzzm13.com/story/news/local/lakeshore/2014/02/11/traumatic-brain-injuries-biami-muskegon-support-group/5399621/
