MTA investigating bus crash in Grand Blanc Township
GRAND BLANC TWP., MI — The Mass Transportation Authority is investigating an accident today, Dec. 18, when a bus crashed off Saginaw Road, near Center Road. Bad Axe woman hurt in two-vehicle crash
BAD AXE — A 38-year-old Bad Axe woman was injured in a serious accident Monday on at the intersection of North Van Dyke and Rapson Road in Colfax Township. According to a news release issued by the Huron County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the accident scene at 2:36 p.m. Monday. From preliminary investigation, Jessica Bastuba was traveling west bound on Rapson Road in a 2002 Lincoln sedan and, for whatever reason, failed to yield a southbound 2001 Chevrolet pickup driven by Michael W. Birch Run man charged with drunken driving injuring 3 gets jail, house arrest

Baby injured in head on collision has been released from the hospital
The 20 month old baby that was listed in critical condition following the M-46 head on collision earlier this week has been released from the hospital. Michigan helmet use falls in wake of law change
LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Seventy-three percent of Michigan motorcyclists wear helmets, down from seven years ago when almost all riders used them, according to a state report released Monday. Michigan ended mandatory universal helmet use in 2012, letting riders opt out under certain circumstances. State police step up patrols ahead of Christmas
LANSING (AP) — Police in Michigan plan to step up patrols ahead of the Christmas holiday. Michigan State Police are participating in the Operation CARE Lifesaver Weekend, which involves police from around the country. CARE stands for Combined Accident Reduction Effort. Snow, ice in the forecast
A sloppy snow and freezing rain storm that closed school districts on Friday across mid-Michigan could be tame compared to what might come. Jim Maczko, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids, said a winter storm is expected to come through Michigan Saturday night and Sunday. That storm could bring a quarter of an inch of ice to areas south of mid-Michigan, including Lansing, Flint, Kalamazoo and the Saginaw Bay, Maczko said.

YORK TWP: Two teens released from hospital after being in rollover crash Monday
YORK TWP – Two area teens heading home from school Monday afternoon were in a rollover crash and firefighters came to get them out of their car after it became trapped in a ditch. Two mid-Michigan residents are dead after traffic accidents Tuesday afternoon and early Thursday morning.
