Four Dead in Houston Cran Collapse
A crane collapse killed four workers and injured seven others Friday at a refinery in Houston. The crane, operated by Deep South Crane & Rigging Co., was reportedly one of the world’s largest mobile cranes. Deep South is currently a defendant in a lawsuit stemming from another crane accident last year. The crane industry has been under increased scrutiny in recent months following two high profile crane collapses in New York City. Lindsey Wise, Houston Chronicle 07/18/2008
