Swine Flu Vaccine for Children Recalled
Nearly 800,000 doses of swine flu vaccine for children have been recalled because the shots have lost some of their strength. The vaccines were formulated for children between 6 months and three years old. A majority of the shots, distributed across the country during the month of November, have been used, but tests revealed that the remaining doses lost potency. A spokesperson for the Center for Disease Control stressed to parents they should not worry: the vaccine is safe and effective. However, researchers are still investigating why some of the doses have diminished strength. (12/16) Huffington Post
